I love my iPad. It goes with me just about everywhere. Apps like Dropbox, Keynote, Pages, Netflix and GoToMeeting make it a killer road-warrior tool for me. Even with those amazing apps, there is one app that I can't imagine not having with my at all times.
The app that I'm thinking of isn't just a great drawing/doodling app, but it's a great whiteboard app as well. What do I mean by that? I can't tell you how many times I'm trying to explain how something works to someone, only to wish that I had a real whiteboard right there to draw a diagram to help make my point. In most cases, there is no whiteboard, but there is my iPad with Paper by FiftyThree.
Paper is an app that originally launched a couple years ago. The basic app included a single pen type and eraser. Until recently, additional pens were available as an in-app purchase. As of February 05, 2015, all additional pens are FREE to download!! This is huge news, and makes this app a must-have, in my opinion.
If you're looking for a creative way to use Paper in a small group setting, just add an Apple TV. By using AirPlay while drawing in Paper, you're able to now share your drawing in real-time with a group of colleagues or friends in a conference room, office or even larger spaces using a projector. This makes for incredible collaborative meetings.
If you're still reading this post, you need to stop, click here, and start playing with Paper by FiftyThree right now! You'll thank me for it.
Oh, and did I mention that the app is completely FREE!!
When you're ready to really unlock the power of Paper, check out Pencil. Pencil offers incredible pressure-sensitive control over line width and even solves the problem of resting you hand on the surface of your iPad while you draw. Prices start at about $50.
