How to Take a Screenshot on Your iOS Device and Apple Watch

The ability to take a screenshot of your computer is invaluable for troubleshooting a problem or showing off the latest new app. Taking a screenshot on a Mac is easy (you can get instructions here).

Taking a screenshot on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch may not be as intuitive, but it's just as easy... once you know how to do it. This tip will make it easy for you.

Taking a screenshot on an iPhone or iPad is easy. Simply press both the home button and the side button at the same time for a brief second, then release.

As you do this, you will hear the sound of a camera shutter. This is confirmation that your screenshot was successful. You can find your screenshot in your Camera Roll.

Taking a screenshot on your Apple Watch is very similar. Simply press both the side button and digital crown for a brief second, then release.

As you do this, you will hear the sound of a camera shutter. Rather than your screenshot being found on the Apple Watch, it will be found on the iPhone that your Apple Watch is paired with, within the Camera Roll.

Once you have taken your screenshot, you are free to email' text or print. That's it!
